你觉得出国玩，给朋友带什么礼物好呢？ nǐ juéde chūguó wán， gěi péngyou dài shénme lǐwù hǎo ne？ When going abroad, what's the best present to bring back for friends.

B:

要是你跟这个人很熟，就买他喜欢的东西。 yàoshì nǐ gēn zhè ge rén hěn shú， jiù mǎi tā xǐhuan de dōngxi。 If you're very close to this person, buy them something they like.

A:

要是不熟呢？ yàoshì bù shú ne？ What if you're not close?

B:

要是不熟的话，就买钥匙圈或者磁铁。 yàoshì bù shú dehuà， jiù mǎi yàoshiquān huò zhě cítiě。 If you're not close, then just a key ring or a magnet.

A:

那要是有一点儿熟呢？ nà yàoshì yǒuyìdiǎnr5 shú ne？ How about if it's someone you're a little close with?

B:

嗯...买糖果饼干。 ng4 . . . mǎi tángguǒ bǐnggān。 Um...candies and biscuits.

A:

可不可以不带礼物呢？ kě bu kěyǐ bú dài lǐwù ne？

可以啊，那你不要告诉朋友你出国玩。 kěyǐ ā， nà nǐ bú yào gàosu péngyou nǐ chūguó wán。 Of course you can. Just don't tell your friends that you are going abroad.
