CAFETERIA POLICY The Genoa Central School District is pleased to inform you that we use a computer accounting system in our cafeterias. This system makes the handling of breakfast, lunch and kindergarten snack money easier and more accurate for students, parents, teachers and the cafeteria management. This program provides a totally nondiscriminatory method for identifying each student meal category (free, reduced or full price). The student’s whose applications are approved will remain anonymous. Each student will have a PIN Number similar to a checking account. Every time your child eats a meal, we will scan their bar code or in some cases enter pin into a pad. The amount for each meal will be automatically deducted from your child’s account, depending on their meal category. Children in K-4 can buy extra milk, 5-12 can buy milk or juice if you want them to and it will come out of their account if they do not have a negative balance. If you ever have a question about the printouts we send home, please feel free to contact us at 653-4764 or 653-7528 and we will check everything. We have the paper records, as well as computer records. We do not give change back. The amount you send will go into your child’s account. We will have a regular line and a sandwhich/pizza line at the High School to choose from. To help you decide how much to send, these are the prices. -Breakfast-

It is best if students send their money in a sealed envelope. On the envelope please print: Date:

Student’s Name:

Amount enclosed:

You will receive a receipt for any money paid over one day. Please check with your child that day, so that you will be sure the money was received. You will not get a receipt for just one meal. We highly discourage paying for one day at a time. If you pay for meals in advance, it will greatly improve the efficiency of our program and eliminate the risk of lost or forgotten lunch money. Payment reminders are printed on Friday. If you have more than one child enrolled in the School District we recommend that you use a Family Account. Any meals or purchases will come from the one account balance. For a Family Account we need the Parents Name, Address, Telephone Number, E-mail and First and Last names of all children on the account. This will make it much easier for all. You will only need to send one check. If your child has a different last name than you, please put their name on the memo line of your check. Checks are better, but you can also send cash. On-line payments can be made at www.EZSCHOOLPAYcom. If your child (or children) were free or reduced at this school last year, they can still eat free or reduced until th th September 26 (including Sept.26 ). If you do not return the application by then we will assume that you do not qualify. Be sure to have your application in by then. They will have to pay full price after Sept 26, if we do not have an application. Thank you, Mary Ann Vann (Food Service Director) *USDA IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY PROVIDER AND EMPLOYER
