If a team is found not to be abiding by these rules, the team will forfeit any game in which they pitched an ineligible player. 1. The Calendar week is Monday - Sunday. 2. Pitchers at the Rookie level (7-8) may pitch six (6) innings per calendar week (Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth). Pitchers at the Minor level (9-10) and Major level (11-12) may pitch seven (7) innings per calendar week (PCYBA ByLaws). Pitchers at the Teener level (13-14-15) may pitch ten (10) innings per week (PCYBA ByLaws). Example: Johnny (Major) pitches two (2) innings on Monday and five (5) innings on Wednesday, he is not eligible to pitch again until the following Monday (He used his seven (7) innings and must wait for a new calendar week) 3. Pitchers rest: Rookie/Minor/Major: a. If your pitcher throws two (2) innings or less, there is no rest requirement. Example: Johnny pitches two (2) innings on Monday, two (2) innings on Tuesday, and two (2) innings on Wednesday. This means he/she can still throw one (1) inning on Saturday but no more. b. If he has pitched three (3) innings, two complete days of rest are required before he can pitch again. Example: Johnny pitches three (3) innings on Monday. He is not eligible to pitch again until Thursday. Example 2 – SPANNING WEEKS: Johnny doesn’t pitch again until Saturday when he throws three (3) more innings.
