Saturday May 12, 2018 At the Education Center & 4-H Park 300 Finchville Turnpike Otisville, NY 10963 BBQ & Silent Auction 6:00 PM Auction starts at 7:00 PM

It is my pleasure to announce that once again the Orange County 4-H Dairy Program will be hosting its annual calf & heifer sale. The sale will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 7:00 PM. Last year proved a success for us with the small changes we made. All of the supp ort we received in its many forms demonstrated that agriculture and agricultur al education is still an important aspect to this area. Over this last year, we have worked on strengthening many aspects of this program. All that we have been able to accomplish is because of the support we received from this sale and all year round. Once again we are looking for consignm ents of: ∗ All breeds

∗ Registered animals (particularly show-ag ed calves with correct type) ∗ Bred heifers due near sale time ∗ Breeding-age heifers. We would like ALL consignments by Apri l 15 for sale catalog preparation and advertising. The commission from each animal consigned remains the same - a minimum of 15% to a full 100% donation. We will provide trucking for dairy cattle in Orange County plus hand le sale preparation of the cattle once they arrive. We ask that the anim als come fairly clean, heads clipped and at least somewhat accustomed to a halter. All registration papers, transfers and veterinary requirements mus t be in order before sale. Besides selling quality animals we are also planning on having a chicken BBQ dinner and silent auction. For the dinn er, we ask that you RSVP before the event. Dinners will be on a first com e first served basis without the RSVP. Dinner and silent auction will start at 6pm. Remember when you donate either an anim al, item for the silent auction or purchase something at the auction you are directly helping the youth involved in this program. All proceeds go to the 4-H Dairy Program and are used to provide education programs and experience. If you are interested in consigning an animal or have silent auction items please call me at 845-344-1234 or email [email protected] Sincerely DeAnna Sardella 4-H Program Educator
