CALL TO ARTISTS The Arts Fund & Pacific Western Bank present Up & Coming An exhibition featuring the community of Santa Barbara’s emerging High School Artists
Santa Barbara students grades 9-12 are now invited to submit artwork for Upcoming Artists, an exhibition at Pacific Western Bank in partnership with The Arts Fund. Chosen works will be exhibited at Pacific Western Bank located at 30 E. Figueroa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 from June to August, 2018. A public reception will be held on Thursday, June 7th at 5:30pm during First Thursday when the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place artist awards will be announced. First place winner will receive $1,000. Second place winner will receive $500. Third place winner will receive $250. Eligibility Artists may only submit their own original artwork. Eligible media includes all 2D work, including but not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking & photography. Artists may only submit five (5) works, and a minimum of one (1) work. Not all works may be chosen for the exhibition. 3D work, including sculpture and installation, will not be considered. Application Artists may submit photographs of their work, along with student contact information, school and grade, and work information (up to 5 pieces, including work title(s) and medium(s)) to Michelle Brade at [email protected]. Artwork submissions are due no later than Monday, April 30th at 5pm. Art Awards Artist awards will be chosen by a panel of professional artists based on technique and originality. Anonymity is maintained during the jury process. All decisions regarding the exhibition selection process are made by The Arts Fund and Pacific Western Bank. All such decisions are final.
