Covering all aspects of the game which includes the mechanics and techniques of fielding, throwing, hitting, catching, and pitching. June 24 – June 28 9am – 2 pm 2.) Pure Hitting: Ages 8-16. Myths, facts, and lots of BP, situational hitting, informative drills and techniques. July 1 – July 5 9am – 12:30pm (no camp on July 4th) 3.) Majors: Ages 12-17. HS/College Prep July 8 – July 12 9 am – 2pm 4.) Pitching and Catching: Ages 9-17 HS/College Prep. Improve velocity, location, breaking balls, holding runners, pick offs, pitch selection as well as preventing injuries. July 15 – July 19 9 am – 12pm 5.) *New Elite: BY INVITATION ONLY. Elevated skills and drills geared for advanced players. 9am – 12pm

CAMP TIMES VARY, CHECK THE SESSIONS AND TIMES. PLEASE ARRIVE AT 8:30 ON OPENING DAY FOR REGISTRATION. AWARDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON THURSDAYS AT 2PM, FOR THE FULL SESSION CAMPS, AND TEE SHIRTS ON WEDNESDAYS. ALL CAMPS WILL BE HELD AT THE HILLSBOROUGH LITTLE LEAGUE COMPLEX ON WILLOW RD IN HILLSBOROUGH.
Recommended Equipment and Items:
** Spikes or athletic shoes, hat, bat, glove, ball, light long sleeve shirt, snacks, drinks, bag lunch. Water provided daily. ** Catchers must provide own equipment. ** All equipment should be labeled. ** Daily medication should be labeled and presented with written instructions. ** All campers must be in good physical health and have a signed permission slip presented to our staff. ** Any early dismissals should be brought to our staff ’s attention in writing and in advance. ** Concession stand will be open for sessions 1 and three for snacks and lunch.

Touching All The Bases was developed by Norm to improve the play of youngsters, who were seriously seeking elevated and proven methods of baseball skill and development. The dynamic procedures introduced to the campers are original, and specifically designed to improve a player’s performance. They have been demonstrated throughout Coach Hewitt’s long and successful career, as being informative and productive. The drills and practice sessions are reinforced by multiple repetitions supervised by coaches and staff members who have played for Norm, and successfully competed on the collegiate and professional levels. Several of Norm’s original ideas and inventions are currently being patented. Here is an opportunity to discover baseball on another level. Morning sessions will focus upon instructional presentations with practice, and afternoon sessions will evaluate our campers’ progress through controlled games and scrimmages. We offer state of the art equipment and lots of Batting Practice.

NORM HEWITT – 8 Time Coach of the Year, Member of the 600 Win Club Norm is entering his 41st season of coaching. He has coached on the high school level while serving Hillsborough and Bridgewater Raritan High Schools, and served as the head Coach at Drew University. He moved to Rutgers U in 1982, where he became the pitching coach in 1982-83. His credits include: 2 New Jersey State Championships, 3 State Sectional titles, 7 Somerset County Championships, and 12 Conference Championships. Norm has been named Coach of the Year 8 times, including New Jersey COY in 1989 and 2005, and National COY in 2005. He has appeared in 16 Somerset County Finals, and has placed over 200 of his players into the college ranks, 16 of which have been named to the All American list. He is most proud of his first MLB player, Tim Fed off, now playing for the Cleveland Indians. In 2013, Norm became a member of the 600 win club. He is currently providing instructional publications for the Jugs Sports and Coaches Directory websites. Coach Hewitt is also a member of the NJ Coaches’ Hall of Fame, The Watchung Hills Hall of Fame, and was named to Strathmore’s “Who’s Who” list in 2012.
