Casting Footplates A tool for creating custom Cascade DAFOs Cascade Dafo’s casting footplates help to position the fully-correctable foot during casting. A level plantar surface helps the clinician set the heel and dorsiflexion angles accurately and easily post the forefoot, as needed. The footplates also protect the width of the foot so that a snug wrap can represent the volume of the foot and ankle well.

Well-defined plantar surface includes longitudinal, peroneal, and metatarsal arches and ST contour.
