Dear Parent/Guardian REAL Learning Week 20 to 24 June 2016 – I am Who I am As you will be aware, your child is taking part in the “I am Who I am” project during the REAL Learning Week. The theme of the week is to try to be open minded and have a go at all the activities. Own appropriate clothing is allowed during the week for students to feel comfortable. If they wish to wear school uniform that is also fine. Please ensure a PE kit is available everyday (this can be kept in the classroom) or clothing that allows for activities such as trampolining, Taekwondo and soft play is worn. To enhance our learning experience, we have organised a trip to a Yoga Retreat to learn relaxation techniques. This trip will take place on Tuesday 21 June. Students should come to school as usual but wear comfortable clothing such as leggings and a t-shirt that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and suitable footwear for walking. Depending on the weather, sun hat and sun cream or waterproofs are advisable. Please note mobile phones will not be allowed on the trip, these will be looked after by Miss Cavallin or left in the school safe. We will also be doing some craft activities. Students may wish to bring in their own supplies to encourage creativity and email Miss Cavallin a collection of meaningful photographs to use for a collage.
