THIS CHANGE ORDER PROVIDES FOR: 1. The compensation to DGVE for night-time flaggers provided per Caltrans requirements. This change does not affect any plan sheets. This change adds one new line item: Flaggers for Night Work. 2. Water service abandonments being revised from Type 1 abandonment to Type 2 because the City is no longer requiring the contractor to dig down and turn off the corp stop at the old main when the old main is being abandoned. This change does not affect any plan sheets; however, it does affect the quantities for bid item 12 and the newly added line item CCO#9: Abandon Water Meter Services. It also adds one new line item: Abandon Water Meter Services (Type 2). 3. The elimination of two ARVs on Chamberlain Street and addition of one ARV at the high point in the system (top of Chamberlain Street at dead-end). DVGE was instructed in FCD #1 to eliminate the unnecessary ARVs and replace with one essential ARV at the high point. This ARV can be more temporary in nature as it will only be necessary until the road and waterline are extended. See plan sheet 11 for changes. This change affects the quantity for bid item 7. 4. Ditch maintenance along Sacramento Street, especially for those on the south side of the road just above the cross. DVGE was instructed to do this work in FCD #8 because these roadside ditches require some much needed maintenance and the City wants this work performed while traffic control is already in place. This change does not affect any plan sheets. This change adds one new line item: Ditch Maintenance. 5. The installation of one Inserta Valve or approved equal to the mainline in Pardi Way, just west of the cross country tee. DVGE was instructed to add this valve in FCD #10 because the City would like to have better control of the system and be able to install the valve assembly at a later date without any interruption in water service. See plan sheet 7 for changes. This change adds one working day to the original contract time and adds one new line item: Inserta Valve. 6. The existing waterline in Sacramento Street at the Pacific Street intersection to be cut and capped and for the existing tee and valve to be removed. The 8” pipe from the new tie-in location to the existing tee is to be removed and replaced in place. DVGE was instructed to make this change in FCD #11 because the City wants to declutter the system by removing the old push-on tee and valve. See plan sheet 12 for changes. This change affects the quantity for bid item 18 and adds one new line item: Pacific Street Tie-In. 7. The elimination of the tie-in to the existing water system along Pardi Way at STA 5+12.58 and instead instructs hot tapping into the existing 16” waterline above the existing pressure reducing station and hot tapping to install the new water sampling station. DVGE was instructed to hot tap into the existing system in FCD #12 because the City would like to eliminate one of the shutdowns of the main feed going to the city. See plan sheet 7 for changes. This change affects the quantity for bid item 26 and adds one new line item: Hot Tap into Existing Water System.

8. The relocation of the 2” ARV on Pardi Way from STA 3+82.09 to just below the existing valve. DVGE was instructed in FCD #12 to move the ARV from the high point of the new line to the actual high point of the water system to ensure that the ARV functions how it was intended. See plan sheet 7 for changes. This change does not affect any of the bid items. 9. A section of the existing water line to be removed prior to installing the fire hydrant lead on Chamberlain Street at STA 1+30.45. Because the existing water and existing sewer are in conflict with the proposed fire hydrant lead, DVGE was instructed in FCD #13 to install the hydrant lead after the existing water main has been abandoned and a portion of it can be removed. This change does not affect any plan sheets. This change adds one working day to the original contract time and adds one new line item: Chamberlain Hydrant Lead.
