2016 CDT DONATE LIFE GOLF TOURNAMENT
10,000 New Yorkers are currently waiting for an organ transplant Every 10 minutes, another name is added to the transplant waiting list The average wait for a transplant in New York is 3-5 years One organ donor can save up to eight lives. One tissue donorcan save or enhance up to 50 lives. Organ and tissue recovery takes place only after all efforts to save your life have been exhausted. Donation is considered an act of charity by all major religions in the United States. Registering on the NYS Donate Life Organ and Tissue Registry gives a person legal, first-person consent that protects his or her wishes should the option of donation be presented. New Yorkers can register on the NYS Donate Life Organ and Tissue Registry in several ways: Online at www.donatelifecdt.org At the DMV On the NYS Voter Registration Form On the NYS Department of Health website Organ and tissue donors save lives!
Please join us at Windy Hills Golf Course on August 20th, 2016 for the 1st ever CDT Donate Life Golf Tournament! This event will be a four person scramble. The price is $75.00 per person, which will include 18 holes with a cart, goody bag, hot dogs at the turn and a buffet to follow along with prizes for the top three teams. All funds raised at the tournament will go toward Center for Donation and Transplant initiatives and programs to increase the number of lives saved through donor family support, education and public awareness about the lifesaving benefits of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Attached are team sign-up sheets and sponsorship opportunities. Deadline for registration will be August 10th, 2016. Questions? Email [email protected] or call 518-262-5606.
