The following individuals are being nominated as new members of the Board: • Shelly Cherrin: Shelly worked for Los Gatos JCC in California, and played a key role in the establishment and start-up of the Albuquerque JCC, working closely with Harold Albert to complete the first business plan. Shelly and her husband, Bruce, have been engaged members since the beginning. Shelly has been active in charter school efforts in New Mexico—leading the start-up of Alice King Charter School, working at the NM Public Education Dept, and consulting with the NM Charter School Coalition. • Art Fine: Art was Director of Program for Roadrunner Food Bank (2007-2013), Executive Director of Jewish Family Services of New Mexico (1993-2007), and Jewish Family Services of Des Moines (1986-1993). He has been President of the Congregation Albert Brotherhood. Art is married to Joanne Fine, a long-time employee of United Way until her recent retirement. • Sabra Minkus: Prior to moving to New Mexico, Sabra was CEO of a major international corporation headquartered in Chicago. She has served as President of the Jewish Federation of New Mexico. Sabra has been a member of JCC for 15 years and is a strong supporter of JCC’s programs. • Dr. Stan Stark: Stan is a prominent Albuquerque pediatrician. Stan and his wife, Marilyn, have been active members and strong supporters of JCC for 16 years.
