Central Little League serves children living in the Duluth Heights, Central Hillside, Congdon and Park Point neighborhoods as well as students attending Lowell, Congdon Park, Myers-Wilkins, Northstar Academy, Holy Rosary, Ordean East and Lincoln Middle School.

For kids who have not played any organized baseball. It is suggested new players ages 4 – 6 play at least one year of t-ball. Outs and runs are not recorded and each player gets a chance to hit every inning. Players are encouraged to hit an underhand coach pitched ball or hit from tee. Ten (10) game season beginning June 2nd. Games are typically Tuesdays and Thursdays with occasional practices. For kids with at least one year of playing experience, who can hit an underhand pitch and throw the ball at least 15-feet. Suggested ages 6 – 8 years old. Runs are limited each inning and coaches pitch. Games are typically Mondays and Wednesdays with occasional practices. Season will begin May 18th. For experienced players ages 8 – 10 years old. At this level, players share pitching duties with the coaches. Runs are limited. Games are typically played on Mondays and Wednesdays and players should expect weekly practices. Season will begin May 18th. For players age 9 – 12. Players who are new to the majors, are required to try out. Players at this level are expected to have a higher level of commitment for all games and practices. Games are player pitch with unlimited runs and typically played on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Central teams will play other Central teams as well as Eastern Little League teams. Season will begin May 10th. Players age 13 will have an opportunity to play on a slightly larger diamond (50’ mound and 70’ base paths). Central teams will play other teams throughout the district. More information will be available once registrations are in and teams are established. This is an advanced level of play for ages 14 – 15 on a full size diamond. Players will be notified by their coach regarding practice schedule. Dates: April 12th and April 19th (required to attend both) Location: Burns Wellness Common – College of St. Scholastica Time: 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 pm A $20 late fee will be assessed on all registrations received after April 2nd. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON APRIL 17TH. Families will be assessed a $30 refundable non-volunteer fee. Fee will be refunded, upon completion of 6 hours of league volunteer time.
