• 10-month full time apprenticeship to gain real work experience at a reputable community organization • $1,350/month (gross) stipend • Health care benefits, child care stipend, and student loan deferment while in the program • Individual and peer-to-peer coaching to enhance your personal and professional capacity to do community change work • $5,815 AmeriCorps Education Award upon successful completion of the program • Access to the Arizona and National Public Allies Alumni Network for support and networking opportunities

who we look for
Each year people of widely diverse backgrounds are selected to join our Public Allies Arizona AmeriCorps program. Although our application is open to all who are interested, we especially encourage you to apply if you are: • Interested in or passionate about community change work or a career in the nonprofit sector • Underemployed or unemployed • Non-degreed • Have proof of high school diploma, GED certificate, or higher education transcript (required) • Highly motivated to learn professional skills • Open to diversity, new ideas, and being challenged to become a better leader • Between the ages of 18-24 (over 25 may also be accepted) and a citizen/permanent resident of U.S. • Able to commit to ten months of full-time service
