April 6, 2015 Request for Proposals The Edmonton Jewish Community Charitable Foundation is now accepting grant proposals in accordance with its mission to distribute a portion of earnings each year to local Jewish organizations and in compliance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements for foundations. Attached are the current guidelines for submissions. Kindly submit a Letter of Intent for your grant request by May 22, 2015. The letter should contain the following information: -

An introduction to your organization including its Registered Charitable Business Number;

A statement of the issues or community priorities that the project will address and how the project was identified as a priority by your organization; What other community organizations are involved in supporting the project;

A concise description of the activities to be undertaken by the project;

The amount requested from the Edmonton Jewish Community Charitable Foundation and where it will be allocated in your expenditures.

A Director will review your proposal for basic eligibility and fit with the guidelines set out by the Edmonton Jewish Community Charitable Foundation. Qualifying proposals will then be passed on to the Grant Allocation Committee for funding adjudication. Beneficiaries should expect receipt of their funding, if approved, by July 1, 2015.
