Chesney Neighborhood News Chesney Park will be the center for a lot of fun and exciting programs this summer. Be sure and mark your calendars! Chesney Park Neighborhood Improvement Association Meetings July 13, 2017 – 6:30 – agenda will include empowerment grants and National Night Out. Red Cross Building, 1221 SW 17th St Sept 14th, 2017 – 6:00 Potluck Dinner in the Park. Hotdogs, paper goods, and Kool-Aid will be supplied. Be sure and bring a side dish, vegetable, or desert share. Serious Fun Mondays – Mondays, June 5 – Aug 7, 2017 Chesney Park 11AM – 12PM Join us this summer for Serious Fun Mondays! The Kansas Children's Discovery Center will be loading up their trolley with hands-on fun activities and healthy lunches! Everyone- children and parents alike are welcome to join us for a wonderful lunch provided by Hy-Vee and hands-on learning activities from the Kansas Children's Discovery Center educators! Our friends from Raise Kansas will also be there to help with the SERIOUS FUN! This program will be held every Monday for 10 weeks starting Monday, June 5 and ending Monday, August 7. Dates left are 6/26/17, 7/3, 7/10, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7/17. We will have two site locations. See the details below: Where: Chesney Park (18th & Clay Time: 11 AM – 12 PM) Where: Old Prairie Town (1st & Fillmore) Time: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM National Night Out – Sat Aug 5, 2017, 5:00 – 7:00pm Food, games, activities – be sure and come and meet your neighbors. Work will also be starting on the final Mural on the Great Mural Wall. Refuel Topeka: Food! Fun! Friends! – Free meals and fun activities for kids under 18.
