Chicago Rush- FAQ’s What is Chicago Rush ? Chicago Rush is a collection of 5 affiliate clubs who will play under the Rush banner. Chicago Rush is operated out of Oswego, by current coaches, and Directors that currently work for midwest soccer coaching, contracted by Panther Soccer Club. The other affiliates will be Chicago Rush South (Formerly 3 River SC), Chicago Rush West (Formerly Bartlett Hawks), and Chicago Rush North(Formerly Grove united and Lightning)

What is the Rush Select Program? Rush Select is the next level of the Player Development Pyramid at Rush. This is when the top players from each of the Chicago Rush Affiliates will be selected to play in upper tier local, regional, and national tournaments and competitions. How will teams be formed at tryouts for Rush North?

Teams will be formed based on calendar year, and talent first. If we feel that a player is of the quality to play up, then we will make that decision based on the level at their current age group. We are looking at teams from u7, through to u19 What will be the size of the rosters? Rosters are determined on the number of players trying out, and the age of the teams. Ideally we would like field size +3, but at 11v11, we are comfortable with them being slightly bigger. If we have teams with more than 20 players (11v11), we will look to have them enter into multiple leagues to help with play time options. Where will my team’s practice and game locations be?

Fields will still remain in Oswego, and home games to be played at Prairie Fest Park.

Will my child have the opportunity to play “up” as they have done in the past?

Players who are excelling and working hard, and who need to be challenged by playing up an age group, or on a higher level team at their age group, will continue to be given these opportunities. We will ask that you register your child for tryouts based on their birth year, and if his/her coach recommends that they try out at an older age group, then we will do so.

What happens to the team that I have been currently on? Everything is based on the players who attend tryouts and commit to a team. We will have evaluated the players throughout the year and at tryouts, and changes are made based on player development, and finding a suitbale balance. We understand that this can be subjective, but have faith in our qualified coaching staff, and directors to make those decisions.

What happens to my coach? Who will be my coach next year? Again, until tryouts are completed and players have committed to the club for the next year, we cannot guarantee who will be your coach. We will take into account your feedback as to the experience you have had with your coach. We are planning on having all current PSC coaches coming back, with addition of new coaches. We can assure you that all Rush coaches, will be quality, licensed coaches who operate with the utmost integrity. Where will winter training occur? This is still yet to be determined, although we are working hard on finding the best solution. We will continue to find high quality training options in the winter at a reasonable travel distance for our club members.

When/where are tryouts? Will there be additional opportunities for my player to be seen? First, the evaluation process occurs throughout the whole year by our coaching staff. We

us the tryouts to see new players against current players, as well as players from other teams with the age group.
