1 – 1 ½ lbs. organic chicken thighs, cut into 1 inch chunks 2 medium organic red apples, peeled, chopped ¾ cup whole rolled oats 1 Tbsp. ground sage 1 Tbsp. pure molasses 1 tsp. sea salt 2 tsp. cracked black pepper 1 Tbsp. olive oil
Directions 1. Add oats to a spice grinder and pulse until coarsely ground. 2. Add all ingredients to a food processor and process until well combined. Remove mixture and place into a sealed container. Marinate in the refrigerator for approximately 2 hours or overnight. 3. Using clean hands, form mixture into sausage patties. 4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage patties and cook one side for approximately 4-5 minutes. Flip patties and cook the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and serve.
Tips Allow the mixture to marinate overnight within the refrigerator in a sealed glass container before cooking. These sausage patties aren’t just for breakfast.
