2) Add flour, blend well cook 4 minutes, do not brown.
3) Add prepared chicken base and bay leaf ,simmer for about 45 minutes. Remove and discard bay leaf. Add prepared dumplings, fold in heavy cream and let simmer for 5 minues .
4. Adjust seasoning and consistency if desired.
For Dumplings
1) Blend flour with room temperature prepared chicken base, blend until smooth, add eggs blend well season to taste.
2) Boil large pot of water, place some of the mixture in a colander and force through holes in boiling water.
3) When the dumplings float remove and place in ice water to chill, drain and hold warm.
