Boulevard Brewing Company has a proud history of satisfying the Midwest’s thirst for fresh, flavorful, great-tasting beers. The Boulevard story begins in 1988, when founder John McDonald gained the support of local investors and friends to start the brewery in a historic district of Kansas City, Missouri. Boulevard rolled out its first kegs in the fall of 1989—the first delivered by McDonald in his pickup truck to a restaurant down the street. Over the years, we’ve continued our dedication to brewing world-class beers using traditional ingredients and best of both old and new brewing techniques.
