Coleman is the only person in track & field history on all four men’s sprinting collegiate top-10 lists. BREAKING OUTDOOR RECORDS • At the NCAA Championship, Christian Coleman won the outdoor double (100m, 200m) as he claimed the 100m in a time of 10.04 (-2.1) and then followed that up with a 200m time of 20.25 (-3.1) despite running into a severe headwind. • He became the 25th collegian to win the outdoor double (100m, 200m), but only the 8th person to do it since 1978. The 24 collegians have accomplished the feat 32 times. • Set the 100m collegiate record in the semifinals of the NCAA Championship as he blazed a time of 9.82 seconds. That places Coleman as the fourth fastest American in history and the ninth-fastest person in world history. He surpassed Ngoni Makusha’s collegiate record of 9.89 by .07 seconds. • Recorded the second fastest 200m in collegiate history and set a Tennessee school record when he recorded a time of 19.85 (-0.5) while running into a headwind at the NCAA East Prelims. There have only been eight wind-legal times posted by a collegian under 10 seconds in the 100m, and Coleman has done it four times. • Coleman has two of the three 200m times under 20 seconds that have been recorded by a collegian this year. • Became the first person in collegiate history to run wind-legal times under 10 seconds in the 100m and under 20 seconds in the 200m on the same day as he posted times of 9.97 and 19.98 at the SEC Championship. • Recorded five 100m times under 10 seconds regardless of wind as he posted a time of 9.93 (+3.2) at the SEC Relays. • Undefeated in all individual event finals during the 2017 outdoor track and field season.

HISTORIC INDOOR SEASON Christian Coleman completed one of the most dominant track meets in collegiate history when he won two national championships with times of 6.45 in the 60m and 20.11 in the 200m. Tennessee has two student-athletes who have accomplished the feat while every other team in the NCAA combined has done it once. • Coleman is the eighth student-athlete since 1988 to win back-to-back titles in the indoor 200m. (Ameer Webb, Walter Dix, Leo Bookman, Shawn Crawford, Obadele Thompson, Chris Nellons, Michael Johnson) • Coleman has 20 career points in the 200m, tied for the seventh-most points all-time in the 200m. • Won the SEC Championship in the 60m (6.52) and finished second in the 200m dash (20.50). • First in the IAAF World rankings during the 2017 season in the 60m and 200m dashes • Did not lose a 60m race all season and posted marks 6.56 or under on seven occasions. The rest of the student-athletes in NCAA Division I posted marks under 6.56 three times. • Three 200m times in the world’s top 10 of 2017. • Has posted three of the top five 60m times in the world during the 2017 season. • Coleman’s .09 second margin of victory in the 60m NCAA Championship is the largest margin of victory in NCAA Meet history.
