After an extended period of non-use, the movement must be set in motion by winding the crown clockwise in its normal position.
Setting the Time:
To set the time, pull the Winding Crown (1) out into position -2- and turn the Winding Crown counter-clockwise (CCW). Keep turning the Winding Crown until the hands pass midnight and the day/date display advances. Then continue to turn the Winding Crown until you set the correct time. This will assure the correct setting of your watch in relation to AM/PM. After the time has been adjusted correctly, the watch is set in motion by pressing the Winding Crown back to its ‘normal position’. The Second Hand (4) remains stationary to allow the watch to become synchronized for precise accuracy.
Setting the Day / Date: PLEASE BE ADVISED: engaging the Day/Date function when the Hour Hand is between 8pm - 2am can cause serious damage to the calendar gears of the internal movement and such damage is not covered under warranty. 1 Winding Crown • Normal Position: Manual Wind • Position 1: Day/Date Adjustment • Position 2: Time Adjustment 2 Hour Hand
