CHURCH WIDE FOOD DRIVE FOR THANKSGIVING We are committed to feeding the hungry in our community, and our local partners are getting ready for their busiest time of year. During the holiday months, our local co-ops see a 30% increase in the numbers of families that need food. Let’s join with them to meet the needs of our neighbors and children in this community by filling grocery bags with food or making a contribution to Perimeter Church –marked for “Food Drive”. Return bags or donations to the empty grocery carts during the month of November.

60,000

people live below the poverty level in Gwinnett County.

Reasons to do a Neighborhood Food Drive

1.

It’s fun. During the holidays and when students are out on break, needs go UP. A Neighborhood Food Drive is simply a great tool to meet neighbors, while serving a food shortage need among the poor. The ministry benefit of a food drive to your neighborhood is that you are giving neighbors an opportunity to respond. Engage your kids and other families to meet this HUGE need. Also, consider hosting a food drive at your workplace or children’s school. Community Outreach can provide you with a starter kit, flyers and signage. For more information, contact Jackie Dieter at:
