Things to Know *Before you Begin* All Quantities and cuts are based on 44/45”-wide, 100% cotton fabrics. All measurements include a 1/4” seam allowance, unless stated differently in the directions. WOF stands for Width of Fabric. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated. Read through the instructions before beginning your project. All directions have been tested and are presented in good faith, but no warranty can be given nor results guaranteed. We truly hope you have fun with your project!

Cutting Directions 



From Background fabric cut: - (6) 2-7/8”x2-7/8” Squares. Subcut in half diagonally once to make (12) Half Square Triangles (A) - (4) 2-1/2”x4-1/2” Rectanlges. (B) From Green fabric cut: - (2) 2-7/8”x2-7/8” Squares. Subcut in half diagonally once to make (4) Half Square Triangles. (C) - (1) 4-1/2”x4-1/2” Square (D)







From Orange fabric cut: - (1) 5-1/4”x5-1/4” square. Subcut in half diagonally both directions to make (4) Quarter Square Triangles (E) From Blue fabric cut: - (1) 5-1/4”x5-1/4” square. Subcut in half diagonally both directions to make (4) Quarter Square Triangles (F) From Purple fabric cut: - (4) 2-1/2”x4-1/2” Rectangles (G)

Flying Geese Unit A 

Layout (2) Background “A” Triangles & (1) “E” Orange Quarter Square Triangle like Shown



Sew (1) “A” Triangle to the left side of the “E” Triangle. Press towards A



Sew (1) “A” Triangle to the right side of the “E” Triangle. Press towards A



Repeat Previous (3) steps to make a total of (4) Flying Geese A Blocks

Layout (1) Background “A” Triangles, (1) Green “C” Triangle & (1) “F” Blue Quarter Square Triangle like Shown



Sew (1) “A” Triangle to the left side of the “F” Triangle. Press towards “A”



Sew (1) “C” Triangle to the right side of the “F” Triangle. Press towards “C”



Repeat Previous (3) steps to make a total of (4) Flying Geese B Blocks

Pieced Squares 

Layout (1) Background “B” Rectangle, and (1) Purple “G” Rectangle as shown.



Sew (1) “B” Rectangle and (1) “G” Rectangle together along the long side



Press towards the Background Fabric



Repeat previous (3) Steps to make a total of (4) Pieced Squares.

Assembling the Block 

Layout (1) Flying Geese Unit A and (1) Flying Geese Unit B as shown



Sew Blocks together along the long side and press towards Unit B



Repeat previous (2) Steps to make (4) Flying Geese Units



Layout (4) Flying Geese Units, (4) Pieced Squares, and (1) Green “D” Square as shown.



Sew Blocks into rows. Press in the direction of the arrows



Sew Rows together to make (1) Churning Geese Block. Press in the direction of the arrows.
