Background / History The 3rd Annual Fajita Fiesta Cook-Off hosted by the Buda Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for September 23 & 24, 2016, and will be held at the City Park. The annual event is a two day event that features a Fajita Cook-off of competitive cookers from across the state of Texas. Fajita Fiesta is a family friendly event with free admission, free parking and free concerts. There will be food booths, venders, games, jalapeno eating contest, mariachi groups, arts, crafts and much more. Alcoholic beverages will be sold during the event. FINDINGS/CURRENT ACTIVITY The City Council reviews and approves Special Events Packet for activities classified as an exclusive park rental. There are no requests for exceptions to existing City Ordinances or road closures for this event.

FINANCIAL IMPACT In accordance with City Ordinances, fees paid to the City will include the $500 exclusive rental fee of City Park ($250 per day).

ACTION OPTIONS/CONSIDERATION The City Council can approve, deny, or require changes to the Special Events Packet.
