CITY OF BELOIT REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS TO CITY COUNCIL Topic:

Overview/Background Information: Sadri Shabani is making application to establish his business to be located at 2745 Prairie Avenue, and to be known as Playmakerz Sportz Bar & Grille, and is applying for a Class “B” Beer and Reserve “Class B” Liquor License for the license period ending June 30, 2018. Key Issues (maximum of 5): 1. Playmakerz Sportz Bar & Grille LLC, is seeking to start a business in the location formerly known as the Pitcher’s Mound, and is requesting approval of a Class “B” Beer and Reserve “Class B” Liquor License for the license period ending June 30, 2018. 2. A complete application with fees has been submitted to the Clerk’s office and is being referred to th th the ABLCC for their November 14 agenda by the City Council on November 6 via the consent agenda. 3. The ABLCC will review the application to assure conformity with existing rules, regulations and zoning ordinances of the city and state and will make a recommendation to the Council based on their review. 4. The lease provided by Mr. Shabani is contingent on the approval of this license being approved. Conformance to Strategic Plan (List key goals this action would support and briefly discuss its impact on the City’s mission.): Taking action regarding this license conforms to the City’s Strategic Plan by encouraging economic development in the entrepreneurial community while applying sound, sustainable practices to promote high quality development.
