Potential Partners for the Neighborhood Stabilization Programs

Diamond State Community Land Trust (CLT) - The Community Land Trust will either purchase land, buildings or simply vacant land and develop or rehabilitate affordable housing on the land. Once built, the homes will be sold to income-qualified buyers and CLT retains ownership of the land. Dover Housing Authority - Dover Housing Authority has four vacant lots on South Kirkwood Street to construct four individual single family homes to be sold to low to moderate income individuals or families. DHA also has interests in purchasing foreclosed properties in the targeted areas. National Alliance on Mental Illness in Delaware – This agency provides housing for low income homeless persons who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. They are requesting to purchase homes to rent to low income residents that have a mental illness. They currently have a contract with Delaware State Housing Authority. Habitat for Humanity- Habitat is requesting to demolish four buildings that are on the dangerous building list, and construct four single family homes for very low income families. Dover Interfaith Ministry to the Homeless - Dover Interfaith is interested in purchasing a building for transitional housing for homeless persons in the City of Dover.
