Exterior Fabric: • 1 Fat Quarter of quilting cotton, Exterior Top • 12” x 8” piece of faux leather, marine vinyl, cork fabric, or quilting cotton, Exterior Bottom Lining Fabric: • 1 Fat Quarter of quilting cotton, Lining Interfacing: • 1/2 yard Fusible interfacing (Lisa uses Pellon SF101, Shape Flex 101) • 1/4 yard Fusible fleece (Lisa uses Pellon Fusible Fleece) Notions and Supplies: • One 8” or longer zipper • One 5/8” or 1” D-ring • One 3/4” or 1” Swivel Clasp • Microtex Sharp 90/14 machine needles • Scissors (large sewing shears and small snips) • Flower head pins • 10 Small Wonder Clips • That Purple Thang • Chalk or fabric marker that will show up on your fabrics
• 50 wt. thread to match your fabric or gray to blend—it will be seen • Any general sewing supplies that you prefer • Sewing Machine with a good zigzag stitch and a free arm, and needle position adjustment • Edge stitching foot (BERNINA #10, 10C or 10D) • Zipper foot (BERNINA #4 or 4D) • 1/4” or Patchwork foot (BERNINA #37, #57, #97 or #97D)
Pre-class Preparation: • Download pattern and print at 100%, NO scaling • Cut all fabrics and interfacing according to the pattern • Fuse interfacing to fabric according to the pattern • Wind a full bobbin with the thread you will be using • We will start class on page 3 of the pattern booklet • Lisa will provide the use of a rivet press, and rivets for those who would like to try that
