MEET THE COACHES MICAH CEWE HEAD VARSITY COACH 3RD SEASON

CAMP INFORMATION

CAMP WAIVER 1.

Assumption of Risk. I ack now ledge and agree that there are certain risks and dangers in association with my son’s/ daughter’s use of Clinton Community School’s facilities and/or participation in a Clinton Sports Camp, including risks of illness injury and death. I knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume all such risks and dangers that could arise out of my son’s/ daughter’s use of Clinton’s facilities and/or participation in a Clinton Sports Camp, even if such risks and dangers arise in while or in part from the negligence of Clinton Community Schools and/or its employees, agents and representatives.

2.

Waver and Release. I hereby release and forever discharge Clinton Community Schools and its past, present and future officers, directors, partners, managers, agents and employees from and against all liability, loss, damages, casts, claims and/or causes of action arising out of or related to my son’s/ daughter’s use o Clinton Community School’s facilities and/or participation in a Clinton Sports Camp, including loses caused, in whole or in part, by negligence of Clinton Community Schools and/or its employees, agents and representatives.

Termination. I understand and agree that Clinton Com munity Schools may revoke my son’s/daughter’s permission to use the facilities at any time, for any reason.

Governing Law; Forum. I understand and agree that this agreement shall be governed, interpreted and enforce in all respects in accordance with the laws of the state of Iowa, irrespective of the choice of law rules of that or any other state. Any legal action relating to or arising out of the parties’ agreements shall be venued exclusively in a state or federal court within the state of Iowa.

Severability. I understand and agree that he foregoing assumption of risk, waiver, release, indemnification and hold harmless agreement are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the law of the state of Iowa. If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, I agree that the balance of the agreement shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

Conflict; Modification. I n he event of any inconsistency or conflict between these terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions of the parties, whether oral or written, these terms and conditions shall prevail and the conflicting or inconsistent terms and conditions shall have no effect. These terms and conditions may be modified, amended, or revoked only in a writing signed by Clinton Community Schools.

CHS CAREER RECORD: 41-25 Micah Cewe returns for a third year to lead the River Queens after a successful 2017 campaign where the Queens finished in the top half of the Mississippi Athletic Conference (MAC), one win shy of the 20-win plateau before bowing out of the Regional Quarterfinals with a hard fought five-set thriller vs #10 (4A) North Scott. Highlights during the season include the team capturing the River Queen Classic in dramatic fashion by defeating #4 (3A) Davenport Assumption. Junior Grace Tubbs led all players with 208 kills and First Team All-MAC honors. Brooke Mulholland garnered 575 total assists and Haley Dash led the defense with 320 total digs. Both earned Second & Third Team All-MAC honors, respectfully. In 2016, the Queens finished the regular season rated #8 in the state. The Queens concluded with a team high 22 wins advancing to the regional finals before losing to #6 Xavier who finished third at the state tournament. Team highlights include defeating four ranked opponents including #9 (5A) Bettendorf at the North Scott Tournament. McKenna Greenwalt had an outstanding senior season boasting 4A Honorable Mention All State honors, 4A SE All-Region honors, MAC First Team All-Conference and Clinton Herald Player of the Year. Grace Tubbs and Halle Davis were place on the Second Team and Honorable Mention MAC AllConference Teams, respectfully. Before stepping on board with the River Queens, Cewe coached 11 years at Ashford University (NAIA). He put together seven consecutive 22+ match winning seasons and gave the Saints its first conference championship and NAIA Tournament appearance in school history. He compiled a school record 241 collegiate wins, placed 43 players on All-Conference teams, produced 22 NAIA Scholar Athletes, three NAIA All Americans, and 14 NAIA and AVCA All-Region performers.

AMBER GRISWOLD ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH 3RD SEASON

Amber Griswold returns for her third season as she specializes with the defensive specialists/libero’s focusing primarily with the programs defense and serve receive strategies and tactics. Amber was a 4-time State Champion at Dubuque Wahlert High School at the defensive specialist/setter position. She went on to play four years of college volleyball at Cornell College (Iowa).

HOPE RALLIE HEAD FRESHMEN COACH 3RD SEASON

Hope Rallie enters her third season as the River Queens Freshmen Coach. The Queens have a combined 37 wins and just 11 losses under her two year stint. She is excited and looking forward to work with another talented group of incoming players.

I have read this agreement in its entirety, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing this agreement freely and voluntarily.
