CMS 6th Grade Supply List
CMS 6th Grade Supply List This is the basic list for 6th grade students for the 2017-18 school year. Students will be responsible for their own supplies as well as to replenish or replace supplies as needed throughout the school year. Students will keep most supplies in their locker and/or backpacks. Teachers will provide information at the beginning of school as to the specific supplies they will need to bring to class each day. 2 box – Kleenex or tissues 4 packages - #2 pencils 1 package - highlighters 1 package - red pens 2 packages - wide-ruled notebook paper 1 - flashdrive (2 to 4 gig is plenty; will be used in all classes) 1 - box map colors 2 – glue sticks 1 pair - earbuds or headphones (inexpensive earbuds work just fine) 3 – 1 ½ inch 3-ring binders (Science/Social Studies; Reading; Math) 1 – 1 ½ inch BLACK 3-ring binder (band; it must be BLACK and will be reused each year) 3 packages – Tab dividers (5 per package) 3 – composition notebook (100 sheets, 9 ¾’ X 7 ½” for science, social studies, ELA) 2 - folders with pockets and brads (ELA, Technology) 1 – RED folder with pockets and brads (this is for homework; a sturdy plastic folder with pockets would work best)
*CMS provides each student with a Student Planner/Calendar at the start of school. ** Each day, students will need tennis or running shoes, athletic shorts and a t-shirt for PE. *** IMPORTANT

ALL 6th Grade Band members need a BLACK 3 ring binder (at least 1”) (Please note that the band does not sell or provide these binders and that the binder should be purchased at a store.)
Band Supply Fee is $25.00 This fee includes ALL necessary supplies for their instruments as well as their 6 th grade band t-shirt which will serve as their concert uniform.
PLEASE SEND THE SUPPLY FEE ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: AUGUST 23, 2017 Checks need to be made payable to: Canadian Band If possible, please place the supply fee in an envelope with the student’s name printed on the front.
