[email protected] The 2015 season marked Joslynn Gallop’s 11th as the head coach of the Embry-Riddle women’s volleyball team. The third head coach in the 20-year history of volleyball at ERAU, Gallop has charted a 256-106 record in her first 11 seasons. Gallop inherited a team that finished 3-30 in 2004, the worst record in program history. She immediately set about turning the program around and led the Eagles to a 24-12 overall record and a third-place finish in the conference race and league Coach of the Year honors in her first season at the helm. In 2008, the Blue and Gold won the program’s first conference regular season title and that was the start of the Eagles’ domination in league play. Beginning in 2009, the Eagles posted five undefeated conference seasons, posting a 63-match winning streak in the process. Under Gallop’s guidance, the Eagles won six Sun Conference regular season and five conference tournament titles, and made five national tournament appearances, including four straight trips to the NAIA National Championship final site in Sioux City, Iowa. Gallop has coached three conference Players of the Year, three Newcomers of the Year, three Liberos of the Year and four Setters of the Year in addition to seven All-Americans and 38 All-Conference selections. She has also been recognized for her coaching success having been named the conference Coach of the Year on five occasions.

Holcomb came to ERAU after graduating from Warner Christian Academy and made an immediate impact, earning The Sun Conference Newcomer of the Year award in 2009. As a sophomore, Holcomb was named to the All-Sun Conference team after leading the league with 62 service aces and ranking third with 358 kills. As a junior, Holcomb earned All-Conference accolades again after leading the league in service aces (59) for the second straight season. In 2012, Holcomb capped her career by earning The Sun Conference Player of the Year honors in addition to another first team All-Conference selection and a spot on the Tachikara-NAIA All-America first team. She played in every set in 2012, compiling 474 kills, 387 digs, 94 blocks and 47 service aces.
