Coats - Boys and Girls
Industry Standard. Welcome to The Elstree UTC Uniform Guide, our easy to read infographic on the dos and don’ts of daily college attire. Please note that along with the following guidelines, the points below must also be adhered to: •
Students should be in full college uniform on their way to and from school.
•
Elstree UTC uniform can be purchased from the online school shop.
•
Hair should not prevent students from working safely in and around the college. In terms of colour, the industry advice is to keep colour natural as hair dye responds negatively to light on set.
•
Make-up should not be heavy or excessive. The college will exercise discretion about the appropriateness of make-up. Make-up students should be aware that practical lessons wil involve the complete removal of cosmetics.
•
Pupils are discouraged from bringing jewllery into school for safety and security reasons. All jewlery must be removed for PE lessons. It cannot be concealed with a plaster. These are LA health and safety guidelines.
•
Headphones should not be work as a fashion accessory permanently around the college. And should only be used as and when directed to by a member of staff.
• Baseball caps, beanies or any form of hat should not be worn around the college. •
Clothing that has any emblems or logos of an inappropriate nature may be confiscated.
•
Costs should not be worn or carried around the college. They should be hung up in a learning base or kept in lockers.
•
All clothing and belongings should be clearly marked with the pupils name.

Black with school logo. This must be an official Elstree UTC hoodie.
Plain black with school logo on.
No others will be accepted, even if it is plain black.
Girls
Boys and Girls
Plain black, smart and knee length. Suibtable for a professional environment.
Plain black. Smart. No rips or zips.

Black with low heels (for safety reasons). Shoes should be plain and without coloured motifs. Boots, trainers or plimsolls/canvas shoes are allowed but without motifs.

Leggings do not give the impression of professionalism that we require from the uniform and so can only be worn with a black skirt.
Coats should be black or navy and in keeping with the tone of the uniform. Denim, Leather or fashion branded jackets are NOT acceptable.
