COFFEE PACKAGING BEADED EARRINGS These upcycled beads can’t be beat!
MATERIALS
• Clean packaging that’s at least 7” wide • Head pins • 1 pair of Earring hooks (French hooks) • Small beads
TOOLS
• Toothpick • Scissors • Clear tape • Pen or marker • Bead template • Roundnose pliers
START!
STEP 1 Print and cut out the bead templates. Trace onto your
clean packaging and cut.
STEP 2 Place the cut wrapper piece onto a flat surface with the printed side face down. Lay your toothpick on the widest end and roll it up.
STEP 3 Cut tiny little pieces of tape to about 1cm x .5cm. Use one of these to secure the end of the rolled bead. Then remove the toothpick.
DESIGN TIP:
You can also thread your beads on an elastic cording and make a bracelet!
STEP 4 Repeat steps 1-3 to create as many beads as you’d like. Then use the beads to create your earrings.
STEP 5 Thread a small bead onto a headpin, and then thread one of your new beads, then another small bead. Use your roundnose pliers to create a loop at the end of the head pin. Create as many of these as you’d like.
STEP 6 Attach your prepared head pins onto the ends of the French hooks and enjoy your new earrings!
