To all of you in the Coginchaug community,
This past year we completed the inaugural year of Coginchaug Regional High School Football and Cheerleading seasons. We had to deal with out of town home games and practice situations that were not ideal. Well that is all old news now. Our new state of the art outdoor sports complex is ready to go. If you haven’t seen it yet then do yourself a favor and visit. A whole new era is about to begin with 5 Home Football Games the Coginchaug Community can enjoy locally without driving to another town to attend. Those of us in The Coginchaug Football Club are excited about the crowds that will grow as the season progresses and the word gets out. There are high expectations for a successful year because of a large senior class contingency and playing games at our own school. Future thoughts bring Friday night games and school dance traditions once funding is acquired for the field lights. The proceeds from last year’s fund raising efforts were used to purchase over $15,000 worth of equipment for the Coginchaug High School football team. This year we brought the Cheerleading group into the fold and hope to be even more successful with fund raising. We will have car washes and various other fundraising events to raise the money. The start up of a football program you can be proud of is exciting and a costly endeavor. We are relying on your generosity to make it a reality and thankful for all that you have helped with thus far.
