Since October 2006, the Colin Bodensteiner Memorial Scholarship Fund has raised more than $517,000 in Colin’s name. In that time, 45 scholarships have been awarded to Bishop Lynch students who otherwise might have had to withdraw from school. Through your loyal support, we continue to grow the fund’s balance, enabling us to financially assist more students. Each spring, eligible students go through a written application and selection process conducted by the Colin’s Fund Committee. Applicants must be returning Bishop Lynch students and are given the opportunity to apply based on their financial need. The goal of the fund is to lend a helping hand to students who share the same qualities that Colin demonstrated during his lifetime: a humble team player who cared about others, a responsible student free from disciplinary issues, and a well-rounded student active in athletics, extracurricular and community affairs.
