COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF SELECTION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES FINAL TOP 25 RANKINGS The Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual and Allstate Sugar Bowl will host the Playoff Semifinals GRAPEVINE, Texas – The College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Committee announced today its final top 25 rankings for 2017, along with match-ups for the Playoff Semifinals and New Year’s bowls. On Monday, January 1, 2018, No. 3 Georgia will face No. 2 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual at 5 p.m. ET. The Allstate Sugar Bowl will follow at 8:45 p.m. ET as No. 4 Alabama plays No. 1 Clemson. The winners of the Playoff Semifinals will advance to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship. The national championship game will take place on Monday, January 8, 2018 at MercedesBenz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The College Football Playoff also announced the New Year’s bowl match-ups. Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic (Dec. 29) – No. 8 Southern California vs. No. 5 Ohio State PlayStation Fiesta Bowl (Dec. 30) – No. 11 Washington vs. No. 9 Penn State Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl (Jan. 1) – No. 12 UCF vs. No. 7 Auburn The Capital One Orange Bowl (Dec. 30) also announced its matchup – No. 10 Miami vs. No. 6 Wisconsin.
