Vail and Beaver Creek ski areas are less than an hour away via the Colorado River Road, Highway 131 and Interstate 70. IMPROVEMENTS The only improvements are the fence and gate and a small primitive cabin. Power and phone lines are about one half mile away. Several choice building sites take in the dramatic views. RECREATION Both sides of the Colorado River are controlled for about one half mile. Many more miles of river canyon are accessed only from the property, offering exciting and private fly fishing opportunities. Wade or float fishing on this section of the river produces large rainbow and brown trout. This is a great spot to either start or end your river float. Trail heads into the Flat Tops Wilderness Area are a short drive up the scenic Derby Mesa Loop Road. The wilderness area contains hundreds of thousands of acres and is the second largest wilderness area in Colorado with numerous lakes and streams teeming with trout. Flat Tops also has over 160 miles of trails and big game hunting in the Flat Tops is some of the best in Colorado. Nearby Vail, Beaver Creek and Steamboat Springs ski areas offer world class skiing,

shopping and night life. TRANSPORTATION The Eagle County Regional Airport serves Vail and Beaver Creek and is the second busiest airport in Colorado during the ski season; being served by American, Delta, United and Republic Airlines. Its Vail Valley Jet Center is a top rated fixed base operation. Denver is about 120 miles east on Interstate 70.
