GAUGE In Slip st patt using size U.S. size 8 (5mm) needles, 15 sts and 26 rows = 4”/10 cm.
INSTRUCTIONS NOTES Cowl is knitted flat and then seamed. To avoid having excessive ends to weave in, do not cut yarn when joining new colors but carry them loosely along the side of the knitting as work progresses. Slip all stitches as if to purl. COWL With B, CO 92 sts. Rows 1-6: *K1, p1, rep from * across row. Rows 7 and 9: With A, knit. Rows 8 and 10: With A, purl. Row 11: With C, k2, *(k1, yo, k1) in next st, sl 1, rep from * to last 2 sts, (k1, yo, k1) in next st, k1. Row 12: With C, p1, k3tog tbl, *sl 1, k3tog tbl; rep from * to last 2 sts, sl 1, p1. Rows 13–16: Rep Rows 7–10. Row 17: With B, rep Row 11. Row 18: With B, rep Row 12. Rep Rows 7–18, 5 times more. Rep Rows 7–14 once more. Next Row: With B, knit. Next 5 Rows: *K1, p1, rep from * across row. BO loosely in rib. FINISHING Block cowl, if needed. Sew side seam and using yarn needle weave in loose ends.
