Color is a key element in creating a recognizable, consistent logo and branding system. The palette for the logo and its supporting materials will be covered in greater detail in the following pages, but it is important at this point to introduce the logo in its desired colors.

COLOR PALETTE

The color palette is an important element in the overall perception of the City brand. Wherever possible, it is important to adhere to the main color palette. The City of Palo Alto primary color palette consists of Green (Pantone 369U), Gray (Pantone Cool Gray 9U), Solid Black, and Knockout White. In the 1-color version, the logo is set in either black or white.

WEB-SAFE COLOR PALETTE Displaying images online has a number of technical limitations that differ from print. SECONDARY COLOR PALETTE

For flexibility, a secondary color palette has been included to allow for applications of the logo in a variety of instances. However, the City of Palo Alto logo colors should never be altered.
