You are invited
to participate in the Columbarium and Memorial Garden at St. Francis of the Tetons. Opportunities include advance purchase of interment sites, purchase of memorial pavers for those interred elsewhere, or gifting an item to the Garden, which may be in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Note that prepayment for burial not only secures a site for one’s cremated remains within the Columbarium and Memorial Garden, but also contributes to the construction, maintenance and perpetual care of the facility.

Christian faith affirms the beginning and ending of our life rests with God. One of the church’s most ancient and revered traditions has been burial within the church grounds. In keeping with this tradition, a Columbarium and Memorial garden is being established on the grounds of St. Francis of the Tetons Episcopal Church in Alta, Wyoming. Cremated human remains will be interred in niches in the Columbarium wall or in cylinders placed in the ground inside the garden. It is fitting that at life’s end our remains may rest within the sacred space of the Church.

The Columbarium and Memorial Garden is designed to honor the beautiful mountain setting of St. Francis, and to incorporate the natural world as a peaceful placeholder for our memories. It is intended to be a place of reverence, beauty, and tranquility. Walkways, a labyrinth and benches will provide quiet places for prayer and contemplation.
Memorial Paver for those interred elsewhere
The St. Francis Columbarium and Memorial Garden will serve the entire Teton Valley community, regardless of creed. All are welcome.

Suggested items for gifting to the Garden Memorial Bench $2,200 Recycled plastic or granite, includes engraving or plaque, 6 available Trees $300 to 500 5 available Shrubs/plants $100 to 200 20 available Donations to the Columbarium and Memorial Garden capital and endowment funds are also being accepted. Any donation made to the Columbarium and Memorial Garden fund will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $10,000! All donations are tax deductable. The matching funds do not apply to purchases.
