DESCRIPTION
The SMX Series is an economical, energy saving combination LED exit sign and emergency lighting unit with side-mounted heads. The LED lamps provide a maximum of energy savings potential and the battery pack operates the unit to be self powered during power outages.
APPLICATION
Suitable for use in almost any commercial or light industrial application. Ideal for mounting in the limited space available above doorways.
EXTENDED REMOTE CAPACITY
Models with RL suffix provide up to 10.8 watts of extra capacity for remote unit operation.

Minimum 11⁄2 hour emergency operation. •Low voltage disconnect of the battery prevents deep discharge and maintains good battery life. •Fully automatic, solid state charger. •Test switch with LED charge indicator/AC voltage indicator. •Line latching feature prevents the unit from turning on during installation to a non-energized AC circuit.

LIMITED WARRANTY Compass® Products by Hubbell Lighting, Inc. warrants to the purchaser that its products have been carefully manufactured and inspected, and are warranted to be free from defect of workmanship and materials when used as intended for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Fuses and lamps are excluded from all warranties. Batteries must be placed in service or recharged within nine (9) months from invoice date or ninety (90) days from recommended recharge date stamped on carton, whichever is longer (NiCd batteries excluded). The warranties are subject to proper installation and maintenance in accordance with the instructions supplied. Any abuse or misuse contrary to normal operation shall void this warranty. This warranty does not cover damages caused by installation in areas with other than normal temperatures and environmental conditions per application specifications. Hubbell Lighting, Inc. assumes no responsibility for any damage to people, property, apparatus or otherwise resulting from improper installation or maintenance of its life safety products. Warranty coverage shall not apply to any equipment of another manufacturer used in conjunction with Compass systems. Warranty does not cover damages caused by abuse, fire or acts of God. To obtain prior written approval to return defective items, please contact your local manufacturer’s representative. After prior written notification has been given and approval obtained for the return, merchandise may be returned, freight prepaid, to Hubbell Lighting, Inc. Customer is responsible for secure packaging of returned material to provide best possible assurance against breakage in shipment. If, upon inspection, the merchandise is found to be defective replacement or repair shall be made. The sole responsibility of Hubbell Lighting, Inc. under this warranty is to repair or replace the defective parts or products, at its discretion, providing such defective parts or products are brought to its attention within the specified warranty time period, and does not include any other costs such as removal of defective parts or product, installation, labor or consequential damages of any kind, the exclusive remedy being to require such new parts or products to be furnished. All other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or warranties of fitness for any particular purpose we hereby disclaim. Representatives and distributors of Compass Products by Hubbell Lighting, Inc. have no authority to change this warranty without written permission from Hubbell Lighting, Inc. Hubbell Lighting, Inc. reserves the right to determine the best method of correcting warranty problems. All specifications subject to change without notice.
