Cumann Réiteoirí Ceanntar na Cathrach C.L.G. & Seandún C.L.G (City Division) Higher Education GAA Referees’ Bursary Cumann Réiteoirí Ceanntar na Cathrach C.L.G. & Seandún C.L.G (City Division) has two Higher Education GAA Referees’ Bursaries for the 2017/18 Academic Year. The awards will be shared among both University College Cork (UCC) and Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) applicants only. Bursaries are awarded by Cumann Réiteoirí Ceanntar na Cathrach C.L.G. & Seandún C.L.G (City Division) to any successful applicant who is currently participating as a referee and officiating for Seandún C.L.G (City Division) games. The following are the terms and conditions of the bursary scheme: 1. The application is open to members of Cumann Réiteoirí Ceanntar na Cathrach C.L.G. who are attending a full time Higher Education course either in University College Cork (UCC) or Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and who are active participants in their Higher Education GAA Club. 2. Cumann Réiteoirí Ceanntar na Cathrach C.L.G. & Seandún C.L.G (City Division) has allocated only one bursary to each college. 3. To qualify recipients must have obtained a Club Level Referee Certificate and a Referee In-Service Course Certificate (where possible). 4.To qualify recipients must be participating as a referee and officiating for Seandún C.L.G (City Division) games and also remain active following award of the bursasry. 5. Completed application forms are to be returned to Sean McCarthy, Secretary Seandún C.L.G., 16 Courtlands Estate, Silversprings, Tivoli, Cork not later than Friday 6th October 2017. 6. The bursary is valued at €500 which will be paid in three installments. The first payment of €150 will be made in award of the bursary. The second payment of €150 will be made in January 2018 with the third installment of €200 being paid towards the end of the Third Level playing season (on confirmation from the Higher Education GAA Club that the recipient contributed to the club and also fulfilled the necessary criteria of a full time academic student). 7. A condition of receiving the bursary is the demonstration of a commitment to the Higher Education GAA Club as a referee or official. 8. Those who receive College GAA scholarships/bursaries are not eligible. 9. Bursaries are awarded for the 2017/18 Academic Year only.
