I am extremely excited, eager and enthusiastic to be joining "Linda van den Broek and Associates" as a Licensed Assistant to Linda. I graduated from the Asper School of Business in 2004 with an Honours degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. My most recent position was with Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg allowing me to gain valuable insight into the housing market in Winnipeg and the positive impact on families that home ownership offers. My Commerce degree offers a base of knowledge that will benefit all of my associates and clientele.

I have been a yoga practitioner for 8 years which has taught me the valuable lesson that with hard work, discipline, and practice almost anything is possible. This dedication to long term goals will certainly be carried throughout my real estate career where honesty, loyalty and guidance will be of the highest importance. I also have a meditation practice that allows me to keep a clear head in the busy times - a practice that will come in quite handy with a real estate career.

Licensed Assistant to Linda van den Broek

I come to Linda van den Broek and Associates with 21 years experience in the Property Management field, formerly Bachman Property Management (now Towers Realty Group), where I supervised and administered all the rules and regulations specific to CIBC Mortgage foreclosures. I managed and inspected these distressed homes all throughout the province of Manitoba from 1989 to 2010, and gleaned a wide variety of knowledge regarding conditions and deficiencies of these homes. I have worked with several lawyers, home inspectors, contractors and CMHC with respect to the re-sale of these properties. After many years of “practical” experience in buying and selling my own homes throughout Winnipeg, I have recently found my niche in helping buyers find that perfect home just for them! I point out the negative as well as the positive as I believe that honesty breeds trust and trust is key to a longstanding and positive working relationship. I am married to a Mechanical Design Engineer, Kirk, and have two lovely grown daughters born and raised in Winnipeg. My oldest daughter was recently accepted into the RCMP and my youngest daughter will graduate law school in 2011. I am a Member of the Winnipeg Humane Society and a World Vision Member (sponsorship of families). I joined Linda van den Broek and Associates as a buyer agent. Buyers need to know that they can work with an agent that will exclusively represent their best interest, and give them full agency-level services. Good communication is the cornerstone of any successful relationship. You can count on me to provide you with the information you need on a schedule and in a manner that suits you best. I truly enjoy making a difference in people’s lives ... and I LOVE what I do!!!

IN A NUTSHELL, IT’S ALL ABOUT "In this business, you can't do anything without complete trust. I don't believe in pressuring clients, so if it takes several months to find them the right home, that's fine. The important thing is to find the right home. It's a process that shouldn't be hurried."

Trustt Trus

Given one word to characterize Linda van den Broek, you'd likely choose 'commitment’. That is, commitment to people: family, friends, and, of course, the people who enlist her services as a realtor.     Linda says her appreciation of people - in particular, meeting the simplest of needs - started at an early as a child of a single parent.     "Watching the struggles of a single mother raising four children is always with me," says van den Broek, who is a regular donor to The Children's Miracle Network. "We weren't well off when I was young. My father left us when I was four years old, and my mom raised us on welfare until she could find a job that could provide for our family."     Consequently, Linda hasn't forgotten how hard her mother worked to make a good home for her children. She continues to show her appreciation to her mom to this day.     "One of the goals when I started real estate was to be able to provide for my own mother. To that end, I've been successfully paying all her bills for many years now. I even purchased a condo for her, which is where she currently lives," says the 1993 Winnipeg Realtors rookie of the year.

...AND A GREAT

Team Effort

Her all-out commitment is also front-and-centre when she lists a client's home.     "I don't low-ball listings to creat bidding wars," Linda says candidly. "I sell a home for what it's worth. Clients can expect that my services and brochures will be comprehensive no matter whether it's a $60,000 or $600,00 home."       To show appreciation to clients who've hired her, Linda always sends them thank-you notes.     "I'm very much a people person, so it's second nature for me to thank clients for putting their trust in me. Dealing with people is my favourite part of being an agent."     As she works toward the milestone of serving Manitobans for 20 years, Linda isn't content to rest on her laurels. Instead, she's looking to take her service capabilities to even greater heights as Linda van den Broek & Associates.

"Our goal is to use the power of three to take service to the next level as

That fierce commitment to taking care of the people closest to her comes through in Linda's work as a realtor for RE/MAX Executives Realty. She not only has her clients' best interests at heart all the time, but strives to treat them with courtesy and respect.     "I always treat my clients the way I would like to be treated," she says. "For example, I would never push anyone into buying  a home. I think my clients know that and respect me because they know I'll always be honest with them, no matter what. My goal is to provide the same high level of service to them as I would to my own family."     Linda says it comes naturally for her to communicate clearly with clients.     "If a client calls with a question, I try to call them right back," she says. "If they prefer to communicate via e-mail, I'll answer them as quickly as I can. The bottom line is that I'm always there for my clients at any time. I want clients for life; I don't just want to earn a commission." That business philosophy - always going the extra mile for clients - has paid big dividends. About 80 to 85 per cent of Linda's business is repeat, an impressive figure.       "Past cllients are referring me and are also coming back as repeat clients. That's a real treat for me - it's like catching up with old friends."     Another ingredient in her recipe for success has been her keen attention to detail. It's a quality that's served her - and her clients - well. After all, buying a home is the biggest financial decision anyone has to make during their lifetime.      "Buying a home is a huge decision, so when I go into a home with a client, I'll point out any deficiencies. In fact, I've actually talked a number of clients out of buying a home because I didn't like what I saw,"  Linda says. "It's my job to educate clients and provide the facts they need to make a well-informed decision."     In a nutshell, it's all about trust.

"For the past 17 years, I've worked as an individual agent. I can only do so much as one person, so I've hired two associates to work as buyer specialists Amber van den Broek, and Connie Brown-Kornik."

Associates phone: (204)     One element of Linda van den Broek's team will remain constant - her husband, Jeff Seaford.     "He'll continue to take care of all the fine details - closing files, letters, signage and all administrative work. He'll keep me - as well as Amber and Connie - organized, so we can work to the top of our abilities. That will help us serve our clients that much better."     With her desire to serve clients as fresh as it was when she started her career as a realtor, Linda is intent on becoming even better at her chosen profession.     "I'm just going to continue what I've been doing, only at a higher level, with a commitment to keep improving from year to year," she says. I've always been there for my clients. With my two new associates by my side, people can expect two things: to be treated with respect, and for us to get them results, whether we're selling their home or finding them a new one."
