There’s something worth noting about your why. Some moments you will actually feel your why. You’ll see your dream manifested in your mindseye and know you’re on the right track. You’ll read an inspiring quote or feel motivated after a rejuvenating weekend. But we’ve all been deceived by how we feel. Feelings are fleeting. You’re not going to feel like sending emails to your community or making phone calls to prospective clients. You’re not going to feel like attending seminars to learn something new. You’re not always going to feel like negotiating. That’s why it’s important to know why you’re willing to go through all of those uncomfortable circumstances. We will discuss how you can overcome lackluster feelings later in the course. For now, be aware that just because you don’t feel like doing something attached to your why doesn’t mean you’re necessarily off course or headed in the wrong direction. Sometimes you’ll be motivated to work and other times you won’t.
Activity On a piece of paper, define your why using the example below. Make sure you do it in first person. I want to own my own coaching business because I want to empower people to reach their own dreams. I want to make a living playing the guitar in various locations.
