Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Morrisville McCrimmon Parkway closed, and for how long? McCrimmon Parkway is closed near NC54/Chapel Hill Road over the railroad tracks so that contactors can widen lanes as part of the McCrimmon Parkway extension project which began in November 2016. Why is the detour route so long? The detour route was specifically chosen because it utilizes four-lane roads, which are expected to better handle the increased traffic than other roads in the area. Are the businesses in the area affected? All businesses in the area are still open and accessible during the closure. What is Morrisville doing to address the increased traffic and congestion during the closure?
