Sign In 1. Go to the free trial site as instructed in your “Welcome to the Commvault Edge® Free Trail Showcase” email. 2. Sign in using the user name and password provided in the email.
3. After you sign in, you will see the My Applications page.

View Endpoints, VMs, and Shares On the My Applications page, click My Data. On the My Data page, there are tabs for computers (endpoints), VMs, and shares. My Data is only one of the available features in the Commvault® Endpoint Data Protection solution. To try additional features, including easily deploying the software in your own environment at scale and testing features using your own data, sign up for the “Your Data, Our Server” or “Your Data, Your Server” free trials here.
Backup the Endpoint 1. Click Show Details under Actions to view the details of the endpoint.
2. In the Backup section of the details page, click Schedule to schedule a backup or click Backup Now to start an immediate backup.

Activate Remote Wipe In the Last Seen Location section of the details page, click Mark Device Lost to activate the remote wipe feature.
The contents of the endpoint can be erased by clicking Erase Content after the device is marked as lost (Note: Erase Content for has been disabled for this demo.)
The content you erase can be very specific, for example, files with certain file extensions can be added to or excluded from the erase process. You can also choose to erase all of the data on the system simply by selecting that option.

Browsing Files 1. From the details page, click the back arrow to return to the My Data page. You can also click on the COMMVAULT icon in the upper left of the page at any time to return to the main screen. 2. In the Computers column, click edgedemo to browse the content on this endpoint.
3. Click on the C: drive folder and continue clicking until you reach the file level. 4. Right-click a file to view the possible operations, for example, Download.

Searching for and Previewing Files 1. In the upper left of the Restore Files page, in the Search box, click the down arrow to open the search options window.
2. In the Contains field, type “edge”. 3. Click Go to perform the search. The search results include files that contain the word “edge.” 4. Double-click one of the files to preview it. Preview mode displays the file name, the file size, and the last modified date. There is a Download button in the bottom right of the preview screen.

Sharing Files 1. After browsing or searching for a file, right-click the file to view the operations menu. 2. Click Share to open the Share Files/Folders window.
3. In the Share Files/Folders window, enter an email address and then click the plus sign (+). 4. Select Notify people via email. You can add a personal message if desired. 5. Click Share to send the email and share the file. You can also access the Commvault® Edge Drive™ folder by clicking on the Go to Drive icon from the My Data page. This folder is synchronized across all your devices and provides easy storage, access and sharing for all of your important files.
