For example, do not prepare any items on an unwashed cutting board used to prepare raw meat.

Cooking: Make sure you cook foods to the right temperature. Determine doneness by using a thermometer, not just by how the food looks or feels. Refrigerating: Refrigerate foods within two hours to prevent growth of harmful bacteria. Cleaning: Wash your hands, utensils, and surfaces often.
