The PAC8™ App makes access control system setup straightforward and simple. All programming and management is completed on the App and transferred to the controller via Bluetooth, removing the need for a dedicated PC or network cables. Designed with an intuitive user menu, the App lets you swiftly progress through the different system configuration options, giving you complete control. Once the installation is complete, the installer can hand over control of the system to the customer. Using their own App, the customer can then carry out the day-today tasks safe in the knowledge that all information has been transferred from the installer’s App. The customer can then easily manage their system and introduce up to four administrators, all with their own App and secure log in details. *Cloud back up is included for year 1 but is a chargeable service from year 2 onwards.

The PAC8™ controller is both compact in size and rich in features. Providing over 90% of the functionality which many PC based systems offer, the controller allows you to configure the system to meet your customers’ requirements. The PAC8™ App’s main menu offers all of the configuration options to set the system parameters. These include: • Setting lock times • Creating and assigning time profiles to both a door or a keyholder • Adding keys Once the customer has accepted their system they can grant the installer permissions to amend the system or service it when required. 2
A single PAC8™ system can be expanded to manage up to 8 controllers. Each controller can be connected to any of PAC’s range of smart (HF) readers, including our PIN & Prox version which can be used to enhance the security of the building or allow visitors to use a global PIN to gain access. PAC8™ also provides a flexible alarm input and output on each controller. These can be used for applications such as monitoring a door contact or triggering a sounder if the door has been left or force opened. Each event is then automatically logged* and can be viewed as and when it is convenient for the user.
*250 events are stored in the controller and are overwritten on a first-in, first-out basis.

The App provides the installer with a screen to configure all the settings for the door with simple drop down boxes, these include:• Lock release and door open time 1 - 255 seconds • Extra door time – requirement for DDA • Lock types - fail open or fail closed • Reader configuration: - No readers - Reader In, RTE - Reader In, Reader Out • Reader options – proximity only, PIN only, PIN or Prox, PIN & Prox. 4

Adding tokens has never been easier. Simply tap the “KEYS” icon from the main menu, click “ADD” and complete the relevant fields. To add the token, just click the “SCAN” button and use the device’s camera to scan the laser-etched QR code into the App. Each token is ultra-secure and uses our Ops™ technology which provides a certified solution to token cloning. For increased security, the QR code can only be identified by the dedicated PAC8™ App. Each PAC8™ system can manage up to 250 users with each key having individual privileges to gain access to certain doors at specified times.

The PAC8™ App allows you to set upto four time profiles which can be assigned to a door or a person to tailor access privileges around your building. Each time profile can be made up of four time periods, providing a flexible method of restricting entry to key areas and enforcing security where your customers need it the most.
