Compliance By attending this two-day compliance training program, the participants will gain real-world solutions to improve their compliance policies, procedures and day-to-day practices. Also, the participants will be able to understand the threats and triggers related to money laundering and terrorist financing faced by banks, and address the responsibilities for the implementation of a sound framework of preventive measures in line with international standards and regulators’ expectations.

Lecturer’s Profile: Soteris Komitis, MSc, ACIB Mr. Soteris Komitis is an experienced professional banker working with one of the largest banks in Cyprus since 1980. His most recent positions include: Jan 2009 – to date: Manager of Trade Services, Cyprus 2008: Assistant Manager of Trade Services, Cyprus 2006 – 2007: Head of Trade Services for the Nicosia region 2000 – 2005: Head of Operations Analysis Department of the Bank´s Group Organization and Methods Services 1997 – 1999: Branch Manager He has been a tutor in the banking/finance sector for the last 16 years and he specializes in the theory and application of International Trade Finance, Lending, Risk Analysis & Evaluation, and other related topics.
