Comprehensive Planning Committee July 19th Minutes Present: Jan, Bryon, Tim, Jim, Bryan, Hank, Paul, Chris, Teresa Absent: Marilyn and Ed Meeting called to order by Janice Glover at 6:08. Agenda was posted. Minutes from June were read and approved. 1) 2)

Is August too busy to meet? NO Homework Reports (how does Agri-Tourism and Agri-Commerce fit in to Comprehensive planning) a. We each reported on what and if we had read the article Jan provided. It was decided to “can” it and not include those terms in our Comp. Plan. Discussion about “should Budget items be included in our survey”? Discussion, mixed feelings, No consensus – yet. a. Jan presented Budget graphics borrowed from Don Haussener. Some mistakes were discovered. Tim found his correct budget and Discussion followed. Again, no consensus can be reached on whether or not to include those questions in the survey to town residents. However, the committee agreed to think about it and try to reach an even ground regarding these at our next meeting. Bryon Kehoe has someone coming to speak from Finger Lakes Land Trust regarding Land Use & Land Easements and the Tax Consequences. It was pointed out that most members would like to have a copy of the Agenda for each meeting ahead of time, so they can be ready. Jan will prepare at the meeting or send out one. Our Homework is for each of us to re-read our survey so far and be prepared to vote on each question as to whether or not it should be included in survey. Tennis Courts – bad shape. Is there any fix thru Comprehensive Plan? Are lots at Caton Crest 5-acre lots?
