Classroom Expectations Course Description: Microsoft Office 2010 Introductory is intended for a first course on Office 2010 applications. No experience with a computer is needed to enroll in this class. The objectives of this course is to: Your future starts now!

MAKE-UP WORK It is the student’s responsibility to complete make-up work and/or missed assignments. All makeup work is due based on the ACMS make-up work policy.

 Offer an introduction to Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010, Microsoft Access 2010, Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, and Microsoft Outlook 2010.

When the bell rings you should be in your seat.



 To expose students to practical examples of the computer as a useful tool.

You will be given an excused tardy only if you have a pass from the office or another teacher.

Be Prepared:

 To acquaint students with the proper procedures to create documents, worksheets, databases, and presentations suitable for coursework, professional purposes, and personal use.  To help students discover the underlying functionality of Office 2010 so they can become more productive.  To develop an exercise-oriented approach that allows learning by doing.

You should bring your agenda book, pen/pencil, paper and conduct card to class ever day.



You will not be allowed to leave the classroom without your agenda book.



If you are absent even for a school sponsored activity, it is your responsibility to make arrangements to complete missed assignments.

NO FOOD, DRINKS OR GUM ALLOWED IN THE COMPUTER ROOM

 Each chapter presents a practical problem to be solved, within a project planning framework. Step-by-step instructions with supporting screens guide students through the steps. Instructional steps will be reinforced by student interactions, teacher support and online resources.  Project-Based Approaches allow for more dialogue between the teacher and student with safe room for error and change in the final product.
